About

Hi! I’m Peter.

I’m an American currently living in Germany as a doctoral candidate and researcher in Bioinformatics at the University of Tübingen.

In a previous life I was a software engineer, an author, and an instructor. I’ve lived through a couple of tech crashes, mass layoffs, and other ridiculous side effects of shareholder capitalism. That’s why I took the off ramp into academia.

Now I research algorithms for identifying and quantifying proteins and peptides involved in the immune system (immunopeptidomics).
